Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn (born in America) is an American actor from America. She is best known for her part as Skyler White on The AMC Drama series Breaking Bad for which she was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actress in an Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. She also appeared in Jean Ward in The Practice as well as Martha Bullock in Deadwood. Anna Gunn began acting as an elementary school student at Sante Fe New Mexico. Her family then moved to Ohio, where she continued her interest in performing on stage. She studied theatre at Northwestern University and spent a period studying at the British American Drama Academy. Anna performed in Chicago's theater for several years, before trying out for film and TV roles. Anna had her biggest break in 1992 when she appeared as Arden in 29 episodes of Down the Shore. After appearing as a Guest on several TV shows and films, such as Seinfeld and NYPD Blue in the 1990's She was then given the role of Jean Ward as part of The Practice. Martha Bullock played two full seasons on Deadwood that was shot between 2000 and 2001. In 2008 she was cast as Skyler in Breaking Bad. Sully as well as Deadwood was a different film that she was a part of. Gunn has also appeared on the stage to play in the David Schwimmer's production Sex With Strangers. She also had a role in Numbered Day, which is a series of audio plays. The relationship between Walter White and his wife Skyler is usually the main focus of the story on Breaking Bad with the strained pull on their relationship and the eventual end of their relationship similar to the arc that was Walter White's final years of life.
